Pledge Dates Back To Reagan

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FOUNTAIN INN, SC – State Senator and Fourth Congressional District Candidate David Thomas made the following statement about signing the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge:

“Today, I signed the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge. This pledge dates back to 1986 and President Reagan’s Tax Reform Act. I want to continue the policies of lower taxes and less government when I roll my sleeves up and get to work for South Carolina’s Fourth Congressional District in Washington, D.C.”

The Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge asks members of Congress and others to oppose any effort to raise the federal income tax or any reduction of deductions and credits. South Carolina Congressmen Henry Brown, Joe Wilson and Gresham Barrett as well as Senators Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint have signed the pledge.
