Friends,

Thank you for the overwhelming support you have shown for my congressional campaign over the past year. Although we did not win on Tuesday, there were many positive outcomes. Voter turnout exceeded all expectations which has and will continue to send the message to all elected officials that the level of civic engagement and public discourse regarding elected politicians is reaching levels I have not seen in a number of years.  As you know, defeating an incumbent is hard work, and we had tremendous odds to overcome so please be proud of the work you have done to help win the Primary Election. Never say, “I wish I could have done more,” or “If only….”

After careful consideration I have decided not to endorse any of the remaining candidates, however, I would expect that you carefully research the positions the candidates have taken on the various issues and cast your vote in a manner befitting the most qualified candidate.

Again, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many kind words, phone calls, cards and e-mails I have received over the past few days. Y’all are the best.

Thanks again,

David Thomas

Friends,

Throughout the South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District voters are heading to the polls to cast their ballot in the most important Republican Primary Election in the history of South Carolina. After the votes are cast and the ballots are counted a new generation of leaders will step forward into what Theodore Roosevelt called “the arena.” The question I have for you is:  What man or women do you want in that “arena?” Before you head to your polling place you must ask yourself this question. After all, it is one of the most important question you can ask yourself before you cast your ballot in an election.

As a reminder I would like to state that I am without a shadow of a doubt the only candidate in this race with a proven record as a conservative reformer who has brought dramatic reform to South Carolina and now I want to do the same in Congress.

I will…

  • Be a jobs Congressman for you.
  • Recruit diverse industry to the District and bring jobs.
  • Help end our addiction to foreign oil.
  • Continue to have a 100% pro-life record.
  • Build a coalition to dramatically slash out-of-control government spending.
  • Defund Obamacare, and lead the fight to repeal it forever.
  • Fight for school choice.
  • Propose legislation that will solve our illegal-immigration problem until we get it right.
  • Not flip-flop on issues.
  • Stay true to the principles of conservatism.

Thank you for inspiring me to run for this sacred Constitutional office. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your time in making phone calls, placing yard signs, passing out campaign literature, and most of all, Thank you for your vote.

Sincerely,

David Thomas

Friends,

For over one year I have crisscrossed South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District listening to voters who are hurting, voters who want a Representative in Washington who will not only listen, but who will act in accordance with those who send their leaders to Washington. Not only will I continue my fight for conservative values in Washington, but I will work overtime to bring diversified industry and jobs to the Upstate so we can lead the country out of recession and back to prosperity.

What I have promised to accomplish will not be easy, but I am only candidate in this race who knows how to build and lead a coalition that will stop the spending and bring down the national debt. We need leaders in Washington. Leaders who will work for you, and who will never lose their way under the pressures that come with holding high elected office. I am one of those leaders who I have talked about, and I humbly ask you for your vote tomorrow in the Republican Primary for the United States House of Representatives.

Thank You,

David Thomas

Nationally-Syndicated Radio Personality Mike Gallagher Endorses David Thomas for Congress

FOUNTAIN INN, SC- State Senator and Fourth Congressional District Candidate David Thomas is pleased to announce the endorsement of nationally-syndicated talk radio personality and Fox News commentator Mike Gallagher.

“As someone who lived and worked in the Upstate, I’ve had the opportunity to watch local elected officials at work, and David Thomas has not, and will never sit on his hands to defend the status quo.” remarked Gallagher. “David is a conservative leader who has been consistently anti-tax, anti-growth of government, and has held a principled conservative agenda since he was first elected to Greenville City Council.”

“In Congress, David Thomas will lead the fight to reduce the national debt, institute zero-based budgeting practices, and eliminating redundant federal agencies all while working overtime to bring high paying jobs to the district”

“Having the endorsement of such a powerful voice for freedom in America, like Mike Gallagher is a wonderful thing,” said Thomas. Thomas went on to say, “Much like Mike, I am an outspoken conservative, and I will never bow down to Congressional leadership and compromise my values at such a critical point in our nation’s history.”

Mike Gallagher is the host of The Mike Gallagher Show, a nationally-syndicated radio program heard in over 200 markets. Also, Gallagher is the former station manager of 106.3 WORD-FM based in Greenville, SC.
