Letter: Thomas is our #1 pick
This Republican Primary is like the NFL Draft. You have to select the best overall pick and send them to Washington to lead. I am supporting David Thomas for Congress because I know that he is without a doubt the best choice for the 4th Congressional District. I have seen David in action, he has been a leader and a reformer in Columbia and it is high time we send him to Washington to be a leader for us all. We need politicians from South Carolina that will not embarrass the state. I know David Thomas can and will respectfully build the coalition he calls, the “brigade of budget bulldogs,” to stop the out-of-control spending and bring down the national debt. David talks about issues which bolsters his campaign whereas his opponents do not, therefore, we need to send issues based candidates to Washington and I choose substance over style. I choose David Thomas for Congress.

As our country and our state experience uncertain and very troubling times, we need strong leadership in Washington. David Thomas is that person. I have known David for over 30 years. I had the privilege of working with David and for his parents in their printing business in the early 1970s. At that time, I saw David came from a family with strong Christian values. I noticed David really wanted to make a difference in his community, so he ran for Greenville City Council and won. I never saw anyone with the drive and tenacity that David possessed after that election and he carries it with him today.
David would later take over the business and make it very successful. I can honestly say I enjoyed working with and for David, as he is truly a man of his word.
Sure David has all the experience to go to Washington but he also has the qualities to go with that. Last May David found out that I was laid off from my job. Since then, even though he is busy with his campaign he has called to see how I was doing and to assure me that one of his top issues will be job creation when he is elected to Congress. With David’s strong family values, strong voice for conservatism, pro-life record, and strong position on illegal immigration combined with the personal traits listed above, I will vote for the best interests of my state and vote for David Thomas in the 4th District Congress race.

Carroll Campbell Confidant and Former SC House Member Tom Marchant Endorses David Thomas
“David Thomas is a man of character and integrity,” said Tom Marchant. “I have worked with him for many years advancing the conservative cause here in the Upstate of South Carolina. Tom Marchant is a former member of the South Carolina House of Representatives and was a close associate of former Governor Carroll Campbell. Tom Marchant was also once a candidate for Congress.
Former Clemson Coach Danny Ford Endorses David Thomas
At a fundraiser for his run for United States Congress, David Thomas received the endorsement of former Clemson Head Football Coach Danny Ford.
Danny Ford said, “I don’t usually like to get in the middle of these things, but I will for David. I think he will do a great job and I believe in him and anybody I believe in I’m going to work for. We need some good people up there and I’m supporting him.”
David Thomas said, “I am honored to have Coach Ford as one of my supporters. He is a good friend and I greatly appreciate his support.”
Danny Ford was the head football coach of Clemson’s 1981 National Championship Team. He also coached at Arkansas and was a successful football player at Alabama.
Letter: Thomas is qualified to be in Congress
On June 8 I will be voting in the Republican primary for David Thomas for the 4th Congressional District which consists of Greenville, Spartanburg, Union and a portion of Laurens County. I am an African-American who met David and his lovely wife Fran in 2001.
When I met David and his wife I did not know the Lord and I was very thankful that Jesus sent David and Fran Thomas into my life. After discovering how hard Sen. Thomas worked for the people of Simpsonville, Fountain Inn and Mauldin, and the entire state, in all avenues I was really impressed. I have witnessed Sen. Thomas become a father figure to young teens, both males and females, of all colors by showing them love and giving them the knowledge of hope.
Sen. Thomas has the understanding, knowledge, wisdom and experience to lead the people of the 4th Congressional District. He will hold us to higher standards and work tirelessly to secure new jobs in the Upstate. David Thomas is my choice for Congress.

Letter: Why We Stand With David Thomas
We are John and Trish Tirado. We would like you to join with us in our support for Senator David Thomas for U.S. Congress. We know times are tough, and money is tight; but it is vitally important for Conservatives to have a voice in Washington, to stand in the gap to keep the country from plummeting further into economic disaster. We need someone who will not forget whose voice they have gone to Washington to represent; someone who will hold our party to the issues we voted them in to address and protect. Bob Inglis was supposed to be that man, but he has proven (just like President Obama) that what the people want doesn’t matter. We need someone in Washington who will represent accurately the people of South Carolina, help get our national economy back on track as well as bring more jobs to our state, and we believe David Thomas is that man.
The reason so many people are falling for what is wrong in government is because so many of us are not willing to stand up in support for those who represent what is right. Stand up with us in support for a man who will not only stand with us but also for us in Washington. That man is David Thomas.

Letter: Man of Integrity
Approximately three years ago this past February, our family went through a crisis with our daughter and her two small children. Due to the nature of this serious situation, we needed a lawyer and a lot of guidance for our daughter. Fran Thomas is a dear friend of mine, and I contacted her in our desperate need. Immediately, she called her husband David, and the next day we were sitting in his office, and he became our daughter’s lawyer. We had no money to pay him, but that didn’t seem to matter to him. He just jumped into our “world” and represented her as if she was one of the most important cases. That was three years ago, and David still continues to see her through difficult times with that same original dedication.
I think, the thing that stands out in my mind the most is the fact that he has never acted too busy to talk with her or to attend the court sessions in which he has represented her. His sensitivity towards us as a family has been remarkable, and he has provided us with both directions and the stability that we so needed during that time. He has a character about him that isn’t found much these days. In his approach with us, David has demonstrated that he doesn’t do things to promote himself or push his own
agenda. If that were the case, he never would have taken the time to help us because there was absolutely nothing in it for him. He just seems to take a lot of pride in supporting the person and being faithful in seeing that justice is done. We know he has quietly helped many others that have been in our situation, and they too can attest to his acts of kindness.
David Thomas is running for U.S. Congress now, and his stand as a clear, consistent, conservative is the real thing. He has been proven with his strong track record and solid qualifications. His “people based” political stand and his “personal based” values are consistent with one another. These qualities will enable him to recognize the counterfeit that permeates at every level of our government.
